What's next after Taxotere, Herceptin and Perjeta?

Trying to think this through. New CT...with a new met in lung. The 7 leftovers are still there but no growth. Makes me wonder are there others that are just lurking getting ready to grow. All 50 were small before chemo, this new place is only 5mm. Will it need to be biopsied? Of course presently still on H&P every 3 weeks.

Does anyone know what would be next?

Hi Brenda, sorry that you have a new situation to deal with. I too am on H&P and at my last CT they found two new little boogers in my lung - this after about a year of clean scans. My doc was not impressed (I was seriously bummed even so). His view is if the progression is really little and seems pretty slow, then we should hold the course and not rush to a new treatment. Maybe your doc would feel the same? If I do need to move to a new treatment, we are going to add navelbine to the cocktail. I would be glad to know what you learn about future treatments. Thank you for answering, sueopp. I am not happy at all. I feel like the shoe I have been waiting to fall has made an appearance. I'm wondering if there is any need for a biopsy or is it even in a place it can be reached. But, we will talk about it tomorrow. I'm going to read up on navelbine.

Brenda, I was actually put on navelbine instead of taxotere when I started H&P. I had to stop it when GI symptoms became too bad. I didn't qualify for the H&P&T cocktail because it wasn't a first line of treatment for me. Since I didn't become resistant to it, we can go back to it - yippee! Good luck. SUE

Saw my Onc this am. Going to repeat 1st of Jan., if nothing else comes up symptom wise. I told him to figure out something between now and then that wouldn't make me lose my hair again...just in case it has grown or there are more new ones! I don't think I can tolerate the Uncle Fester look again
