Dyson AirBlade Hand Dryer

Preface: This will probably seem very odd but I'm curious...

I have mild lymphedema in my hand. I've had this on and off for about a year and have been on a waiting list for treatment at the hospital. Since this summer it got slightly worse, I've found a private therapist who I will begin to see Dec 1.

A bit more than a week ago, I took a long flight (5 hours) and had a flare up for my time away. I did self massage and elevation but nothing was really helping. The day before flying back home I used one of those Dyson AirBlade dryers in the public washroom. I noticed it pushed my skin around so I did a few slow movements up thinking maybe it would help the flare. I've been home for a few days. The swelling actually went down during the flight and now my hand is in better shape than it has been in a long time. I can see all my bones but my pinkie!

I tried googling this and there is one other person who thought maybe it could be useful but was quickly dismissed. Any thoughts? If not, at least I'm putting it out in the universe as an idea, albeit a crazy one.

we had a light discussion about this once here. I think if it's blowing not to forcefully and in one direction to move fluid up arm it could be a possibly but... then you would need to drain it out of that affected quadrant and take the fluid to the other side of your body that's doesnt have LE otherwise it's just going to push the fluid up further and not out of the affected area. Yes I do think there could be an invention here. Glad it took the swelling out in your hand which is always bad to have swell there.

It's kinda wacky thinking about this but sheesh...maybe your living proof it works. I know when I use a dyson dryer to dry hands I never push the fluid down but use the dryer in a way to have fluid go up towards wrist.

Anyone else weighing in on this experiment!
