I'm still standing..
the meds, the reflux, the chemobrain, the fatigue, the emotional torture.. All still slap my face with each new breath.. But still here I am, still alive, enjoying my chocolate, Turkish coffee and all..
DS is almost 12, was 6 during dx.. He got two date offers from 2-year older girls yesterday.. Now I started to daydream if I can make it to see myself a grandma! I know DS is working hard on that already! Ha ha ) he is a teenager already, talks about girls & marriage all the time!
After this long down the cancer path, one DOES forget where she is going, as the rest of the world get their share of struggles & deaths too.. Almost started to feel normal. As long as I am not forced to climb stairs! Ha ha )
Hugs all
Ebru

No kidding??!!!! (about DS). SO nice to hear from you. DD has a boyfriend, speaking of pubertal woes. Ugh, but more because DH is having a tough time. I think it's easier with boys.
-
Ebru, So glad to see you post. Keep daydreaming, and hopefully some of those dreams will come true for you.
I do not envy any of y'all with teenagers, those were the most trying times of my life, lol. I preached and preached, no babies before marriage. And they obviously listened. Then they got in their 20's, and I got my stage 4 diagnosis, I was like forget everything I taught you, I want a grandchild with or without marriage, lol. That really didn't happen, but my daughter did get married and gave me a wonderful grandson this year. I hope those teenagers of yours grow up to be responsible young adults too. Best wishes to all.
-
Ebru, so lovely to hear your voice! Keep going with that chocolate. . .
-
Hi, Ebru! Great to hear from you!
Tina
-
Ebru, what a wonderful way to start the day by seeing your post! I can just picture you with your eyes half closed, relishing your chocolate and coffee!
It is so kind of you to drop in to say hello, and it sounds as though much of your upcoming time will be spent keeping an eye on your son's would-be girlfriends!
With hugs
-
Ebru...my DD is 13 going on her mid-twenties. Yes, I plan on making it to see grandchildren! Mmmmm...Turkish coffee. Take care, my friend!
-
Ebru, you made me want some of that coffe...as we stay awake watching the election results.
Kandy, my daughter laughs at me the same way. All those talks, now I'm like where are my grandbabies before I run out of time!
-
ebru. So glad to see you post. Ugh the teenage years are hard. Where have my polite young boys gone ? I guess in a hormonal state. Wow. Seems everyday is a miracle if there isn't some kind of disagreement. Trying to pick my battles ut seems they are choosing to battle both with each other and me. God grant me patience to make it thru.
-
Keep climbing ebru. Smile each time I see your post

))))

)) well I let him stay optimistic
))))
Life's good. So thankful to have bits to smile about each day.
Btw if any one of you is acquainted with this cute lady, it would be great to know! Haha !!
))
The economy, world issues & all is really out of control. What makes me sad these days is that there's just one brown panda left alive.. after his mom died. I cannot imagine his loneliness.
New Year is approaching.. I wish for a better 2017 for us all already..

Hey Ebru
I'm new (you'll forgive me when I say I wish I'd never received an invite to this exclusive club).
Anyway, just wanted to say I've loved your posts. And your photos.
Enjoy the coffee
-
Ebru,
It's so nice to see your posts! They always brighten my day! You have a way of spreading joy and love and inviting us all to sit down with you for that cup of coffee! (although, I'll take tea). : )
I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Here's to many more!
Hugs, my friend,
Amy

dear MSL & sweetest Amy
So happy to see your replies..
yesterday was my checkup & zometa / zoladex infusion/shot day.
Now resting.. great news that Zometa will be every two months from now on.. TMs still not very cooperative, yet I feel great, under the circumstances.
This Friday both my housemaids are coming, and our Christmas tree will be up! As a Muslim, I believe the unity of religions and appriciate each special event that makes me happy.. ın fact most my good friends are Jew, and Christians
)
Such a shame the real religious practioners of especially Islam are mistaken as terrorists who kill other muslims! Weirdos!
Huge hugs to all!
-
Happy Birthday, dear Ebru! I love that you enjoy every holiday. In our household, we do as well, too--Christian, Jewish, secular. Alas, my spouse and I are not close friends with anyone who is Muslim. I hope to change that, and to help address and ease the fear many here are feeling at this uncertain, threatening time.
Tina
P.S. Good luck with your DS and his current crush!
-
hey Tina,
We have national high school aptitude tests this week.. so here I am enjoying my own house! Ds& DH already arrived the summer house to eat tangarines from the trees ..
)
It's a bit chilly down there and I have pre-new year cleaning to handle, sigh!
I agree, I too have not many Muslim friends ha ha
) many of them lack the real deal and are battling among themselves..
this weekend I also have my niece's birthday party to attend. She loves me so much that I should'nt crash her expectations of the best of all gifts from her aunt Ebru.
Hope you all have great Thanksgiving!
Love
Ebr
