Away from home without any medical info or i.d....

I have no idea where to put this post, so I'm going with the Stage IV forum because it's probably especially pertinent to us, but certainly not exclusive to us. I just want to share something that happened to me today, in the hopes of preventing anyone else from experiencing the stress associated with it. I left home for the day and did not realize until I was 100 miles away and went to purchase something that I had left my wallet at home on my desk. So I had no cash, no driver's license, no credit cards, no insurance card, no AAA card, and no i.d. Thankfully, I had a full tank of gas so could get home, but other than that, I felt very vulnerable. So tomorrow I am making copies of all those pertinent things and hiding them and a $20 bill in a small wallet somewhere in my car because it was extremely stressful and scary thinking about all the emergency scenarios that could have happened.

Just thought I'd share this and possibly save someone else the stress I had today, as well as open up the conversation for any other tips or ideas along these lines.

Someone once pointed out to me that so long as you had your phone, and the Uber (or Lyft) app, you could get home if you lost your wallet. She was really pointing out that she could get her lost brother home when he called and wasn't capable of getting himself home. Of course this won't work everywhere, but a lot of places it will.

You should keep a copy of your passport page in a pocket in your suitcase.
