Hi KB870,
Thank you for your appreciative post. I expected that some may or may not like the posts here. People have different mindsets and tastes. The mods have done a wonderful job keeping things in order and removing spams too.
I just want to make people smile. Those that dont like the posts on this thread, can speak their minds but certainly it is not for them to decide. The Benny Hill Show was shown all over the wotld, so that means censors approved it before. I like the comic sequences, naughty sometimes, but i haven't really seen anything go overboard. Well, just like you said, people should just choose what they like to watch and ignore those they dont like.
Thanks again. Feel free to post here anytime KB.
Here's another Benny Hill act i saw, with some dancers...

I never suggested that I should decide that the Benny Hill skit should be removed or otherwise, I merely pointed out to you that here in Britain, this 'comedy' is considered out dated and many people no longer find his attitude to women acceptable or funny.
This is a site for women with breast cancer and to post the 'painting' sketch showing women's breasts being used as some kind of 'play things 'for a cheap laugh and especially as so many women here have lost breasts to mastectomy (me included) seems to me to be grossly offensive and lacking in in sensitivity. I don't think a breast cancer site is the appropriate place for such humour.
Post what you like. but accept in doing so might upset others

Hey GM, hope your treatment is going well for you. Thank you for taking the time to post the funnies for us to enjoy. We all need a good laugh. I have to admit I do like some of the Benny Hill shows. With that said, I understand why Wintersocks was/is upset with that one particular show ( I also lost a breast to BC). I know you have good intention, GM...."This thread is intended to bring humor to all cancer patients and anybody who needs a laugh.". You are right in that people can pick and choose, but sometimes a person can't "unsee" the image that bothers her/him. With humor it is not hard to offend people because we come from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and have certain mindsets and life experiences. We are here to learn, find support, and hopefully offer support to other sisters . I like to joke and tease the ladies I feel close to on the other thread, but if I post something that another sister find offensive, I would hope that she is kind enough to gently point out my insensitivity, otherwise I would blindly continue. And word choices are also important.....
Ok, back to being silly:
I can see me doing that after the pupil dilation.

Hi Loveroflife,
Nice of you to drop by this thread again. Thanks for your nice pic which up to now has me puzzled! LOL. All I see is a series of broken fence that looks like pens to me. Haha, humor can sometimes be tricky.
Ok, about Benny Hill. Here is what really happened... I was searching for funny videos on Youtube when suddenly the name Benny Hill popped out together with the others. Having fond childhood memories about my family/clan watching the show before back in the 70's or was it 80's, (we used to gather around the living room, all 20 of us cousins, watching in still black & white TV then, teasing and doing the ending chase routine of the show), I immediately clicked on that specific link and watched. Finding it funny, without any inkling of an idea that the front still image of that video was that of a woman's body seemingly being painted by Mr. Hill, which actually was a post behind the woman, i posted it on this thread. And then came wintershucks' post about it and I apologized to her. I was about to delete it but I thought, what could be the limits then? So I decided to let it stay and maybe the Mods can delete it if they find it offensive. I really wouldnt mind at all. But it is still there as of this moment. Then came your post pointing out politely the reason that may make it offensive to others. Heck, I also lost a breast! So, in the spirit of goodwill and Christmas, I am deleting that particular video now.
Humor, among other things can be subjective, and i really expect that not all may like what one does. That is the reason why I said in my first thread post that if anything goes wrong, the Mods can keep everything under control. That goes for me or anyone who might post offensive things intentionally or unintentionally on this thread!
Thanks again Loveroflife.
I wonder where Bosumblues is right now. I miss her.
Take care and Happy Holidays,
Gina

PS
Loveroflife,
I am doing fine with my treatment. After two infusions with a few minor SEs, I feel normal again (except for the bald head, which reminds me of the funny old & short bald fella on the Benny Hill show, he is my fave). Lol!
Wishing you and your family the best this Christmas season and all throughoutyour life.
