Worried about ovarian cancer

Options

I have breast cancer, underwent a double mastectomy in September, haven't started any other treatment yet.

Doc told me to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist since I now have increased risk of ovarian cancer. They can't fit me in until January, which was fine until today I began having abnormal vaginal bleeding. I'm exactly 2 weeks since the start of my last period and I never have bleeding in between. Of course with everything else I've been going through I immediately get on the Internet and search and find that I have other symptoms as well such as frequent urination and bloating. These are such common, minor things that I never thought they could be a symptom of cancer but now with the bleeding I'm getting concerned. (Also, I should note that I haven't had a gynecological checkup in 15 years.)

Should I call the gynecologist back and see if they can get me in sooner? Should I call my MO? Am I needlessly freaking out?

Anyone else on here have ovarian or endometrial cancer along with their breast cancer? If so what were your symptoms?

By the way my brca tests I had done after the bc dx came back negative.

Johnny girl.how are you? I see you mentioned you were tested for brca. Anything else? I was diagnosed with breast ca at the age of 38, 12 years ago. They only tested me for brca. Then I had a recurrence 17 months ago. Then I had a full panel of testing and found out I have chek2. Was also just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Ugh. Had ovaries out last summer.

    BethL,

I'm so sorry to hear about your new diagnosis. I hope your prognosis is good. I am doing well. I had my gynecology check up and everything was completely normal. I haven't had any abnormal bleeding since then so I'm chalking it up to stress. As far as testing, I'm pretty sure I was only tested for brca. I'd never even heard of chek2 before your post. I had to Google it :)
