Question about Zoladex

    In August I was given a Zoladex injection and prescribed Femara. I am 47 yrs old and premenopausal. After two weeks on the meds, my doctor took me off Femara because of the tremendous side effects I was experiencing. I noticed a big difference within a 7 day period. The body aches are gone. No muscle/joint pain. No back pain. During this time, my doctor wanted to try me on another medication to substitute for the Femara. I refused starting another med and told the doctor I probably would not be getting another Zoladex injection (I am due for another injection end of November).

    I have two questions:

    1) Would staying on the Zoladex alone provide me ANY benefit whatsoever?

    2) The only bothersome side effects I'm currently having with the Zoladex is the hot flashes and some days I have very low energy. Will this eventually go away if I decide to continue taking it?
