BC Awareness Month Sadness

Options

Hi there.

Does anyone else feel extra sad during Breast Cancer Awareness Month? I went through most of my breast cancer journey alone and this time of year, with the extra attention, support and admiration we receive, it makes me grateful and sad.

Anyone else?

Hugs. Thank you.

Amy

October actually makes me feel used by marketers. Anger more than sadness here

I feel extra sad during October too. I can't seem to get away from reminders of BC. I am also remembering two friends who died from BC. I also attend two fundraisers to benefit BC research where stories of how BC affects people's lives are shared, and tears are shed for sure. This year was better than the last two years for me though. Last year I was less, than a year out of treatment, so all of this really affected me.

Wow, I think you really hit the nail on the head here. We do have more remembrances in our face and we are hearing more stories at events. I guess it's a time to rip a bandaid off anew. Thank you for your thoughts.
