Autoimmune reaction with cancer

A few months before I was diagnosed, I started having a bunch of odd for me symptoms. I have been dealing with a late-stage, not 100% treated Lyme/tick-borne disease for about 8 years now. So I am used to random pains, weird things going on. But this was what seemed to be an autoimmune type thing. Weird rash (weird for me anyway), joint pain and weakness only in my hands/wrists, deep horizontal ridges in my fingernails.

A relative of mine (working toward his PhD in immunology) and I were having a discussion about cancer and the immune system. We sort of worked out together that the lymph node they biopsied and turned out positive may have been leaking (for lack of a better word) T-cells that irritated my upper extremities, especially since it was 25 mm (pretty large). That could explain the symptoms at least. He also said the fact it was enlarged like that probably meant it was working very hard to keep it from spreading.

I know your immune system can react, trying to fight the cancer. So I was just curious if anyone else had something similar.
