Did anyone experience a false negative fine needle aspiration, before being diagnosed?

I have a vague thickness in my right breast that came back b9 from an FNA. My doctor is now doing a core needle biopsy. I am also experiencing sporadicunderarm discomfort as well.

Hi, Dance Mom, I had a stereotactic biopsy, larger needle, vacuum- assisted back in November of 2015. It came back benign. Went for my 6-month follow-up mammo and turns out they had not biopsied the correct area. I know this because I requested my mammo report and it said it had been missed. Had my second stereotactic biopsy and was positive for DCIS, grade 3. So it sat in there all that time. Thank goodness it did not become invasive. Make sure you get all of your mammo and biopsy reports. I get copies of everything now. I'm sure my case was unusual, at least I hope so. I wish you good luck with your core needle biopsy. Keep us updated!
