Lump and mammogram and ultrasound

im so worried i have a 4cm lump thats grown in a yr and now arm pit lymph node swollen. The doctors can feel the lump but can't see it. They tell me i have dense breast . I have to see a breast surgent in a week and i dont know what to expect.

    blueeyes, you don't mention what kind of imaging you have had already. Mammo and US? Your Dr may recommend additional imaging if all have not been done already. Some tumors are easier to see than others, depending on the tests. Most Dr's recommend a 3D mammogram, if you have dense breast tissue. They may also want to do a breast MRI. If you haven't had a biopsy, they may schedule that, once your imaging tests have been done. Get copies of all of your reports as you go and you may want to take a trusted friend or family member to take notes, etc. Write down any questions you may have before you go in. Best wishes.
