When chemo?

I see some with chemo for stage 1-others just radiation. What determines chemo for such an early stage with lumpectomy

If you are ER+ and HER2-, the standard of care is typically to do the Oncotype test. Other tests such as the Mammaprint are used instead to help determine how aggressive the tumor is, and determine the benefit of chemo.

my tumor was stage 1, but PR- , which is considered more aggressive. The Oncotype was 23. My MO deemed to wise for me to have 4 rounds of chemo.

Another consideration may be the grade of the tumor...the higher the grade, the more aggressive the tumor. Higher grades are said to respond better to chemo.

They are recommending Taxotere and Cytoxan for my chemo treatment

My mammaprint came back 20% high risk nodes clear stage 1

I am trying to convince myself not to do chemo
