What time of day do you take your hormonal therapy?
The bottle of tamoxifen has been sitting at my house for over a month. I think it's time I take it.
What time of day do you usually take it? In the daytime so some of the side effects go away before you go to sleep? Right before bed? Dinner time?
I'd love to hear the pros and cons of each.

I take mine just before bed! Someone posted their MO recommended that time of the day and I just went with it. Works for me especially when I try to sleep in on weekends (8:00 am instead of 5:00 am) :

I now take it twice a day, 10 mg in the morning and 10mg in the evening. Used to take 20mg in the evening, but could not sleep due to leg muscle cramps.
-
I take mine in the evening. Tried mornings when I first started but find evenings work best for me.
-
I take mine in the morning along with my other meds. I would forget if I did it any other time

I take mine in the morning. Like lvbugs I would probably forget otherwise! Sometimes I get hot flashes and they are worse at night, so it works best to take my tamoxifen in the morning. I am 50 and have been taking it for. 9 months, no problems.

I take it at bed time. I'm a chronic migraine sufferer. Have been since puberty. Over half the month with migraines. It's been 6 weeks since I started it and I haven't had a migraine since. Sometimes a bit sweaty at night but I'm ready to call this a bloody miracle drug. Seriously it has changed my life. Knock on wood it continues. LOL!

I'm a morning girl. I don't eat breakfast and wait until about 11 when I eat a snack. Aromasin apparently works better with food, esp. fat, so I take it with food, not on an empty stomach.

I was having some sleep issues with it, so now take it in the morning with breakfast.

Another morning Tamoxifen taker here.

At first I took it in the morning, but found it made me a little woozy during the day. Switched to night and felt better on it overall. I guess the answer is to try both and see which works for you. Good luck!
-
I take it at night right before bed along with Magnesium which helps with sleep and prevents muscle cramps
-
I take mine every evening after supper. I was instructed to take it with food.
-
I take mine in the morning. I have had no serious SEs from Tamoxifen.
