Pain/heaviness after lumpectomy

In July, I had a lumpectomy followed by a second surgery (10 hours later) due to hemorrhage. Today, my breast is still numb. The surgeon said this may or may not improve because I was so swollen prior to the second surgery. I am feeling sharp pains and the best way I can explain it is heaviness. These symptoms are not at the scar site but rather the entire breast. Are these normal symptoms? Are these symptoms due to the hemorrhage? I feel guilty/ashamed to be whinny about my breast because I am so fortunate the mass was benign. I thought I was prepared for the after affects of the lumpectomy but what I am feeling is not what I expected.

Thank you in advance for any advice

Love2teach, we're so sorry to hear you're dealing with this uncomfortable side effects of surgery. We wish we had some answers for you, but hopefully this post will "bump" your questions up into the Active Topics, and someone will see your post who can weigh in with their thoughts.

    Congrats on the benign results!
