Has anyone spoken to an attorney about the drug, the result of no hair regrowth and/or the Class Action suit again the Drug maker?

I know being bald is a bummer, but I do not think this is a fair class action suit. When I took Taxol, I was warned that this was a possible permanent side effect. At the time, taking an effective chemotherapy for cancer seemed more important than hair. Still does.

What does everyone else think?

I think it all depends on if you were informed or not. I see commercials for this just about everyday. My mom just finished taxotere. Once I saw those commercials I got very nervous but it looks like some peach fuzz is growing in. We were not informed that it could be a possibility. I would imagine that if one was to take this drug for an early stage cancer and/or have a good prognosis for a later stage disease, andstill have a long life to live being permanently bald would be a concern. I understand life is more important but so is quality of life. My mom knows she still has more chemos and more baldness down the road so for us this is less of a worry

I joined the lawsuit because when I was given taxotere in 2010, my drs had no idea hair loss could be permanent .

When it didn't grow back, they were testing my hormone levels, thyroid, etc trying to find out what was wrong.

The issue is that the company knew that permanent baldness was a possibility, with the risk being estimated at 7-9 % and they didn't disclose it. They didn't disclose it in documentation until the FDA made them a few years ago.

Thank you for filling me in. Yes, you do have damages, and they need to be addressed. At the very least, I hope they pay for an unending stream of top-end, fabulous wigs, and the requisite styling. I'm talking 5K wigs - celebrity wigs.

Seven to nine percent!?!? Inform us, and let us make decisions, dang it.
