has anyone done a multi lumpectomy for the same breast?

I have just been diagnosed with IDC in right breast, a lump that I felt, per ultra sound and path report - 1.2 cm, grade 1, no lymph invasion; however during the MRI another suspicious thing was noticed, which I did not feel, and it was biopsied. Waiting for the report. Surgeon says mastectomy indicated if the second is also IDC. I am a firm believer in less is more. My research suggests that two lumpectomies can be done on same breast and be effective with radiation saving my breast. Any thoughts or similar experiences.

I had two on the same breast, however first was an atypical mass they removed 12 years ago, 2nd was IDC (interestingly same area). Good luck!
