tamoxifen and anxiety/depression

I am on a two week tamoxifen break due to upcoming exchange surgery. Has been one week off of it so far, and I am finding myself feeling much less anxious than before despite the upcoming surgery. Can the effects of tamoxifen really wear off in just a week? I wasn't sure if my extreme anxiety was tamox related before or just a by-product of this cancer thing, but now I am thinking a lot of it was the tamoxifen.
