Milky Nipple Discharge post bilateral Mastectomy!! Concerned

Hi there everyone.
I had bilateral mastectomy with nipple sparing in June. Started chemo in July and I'm now half way through.
I noticed some staining on my bra this morning and when I checked there was a milky liquid coming from it. I can squeeze it and more comes out. Should this be the case?? Surely if both breast and all tissue is away there shouldn't be any ducts to make milk. I'm scared.
I have triple negative cancer.
Any advice is welcome.

So nobody seems concerned about the milky liquid from my nipple. It is still happening, I am due my 4th dose of chemo (starting docetaxol now) I will ask the oncologist again on wednesday.

Hi Rachel, sorry you didn't get any real answers yet! Hopefully bumping the thread will help. Anybody has some insight on Rachel's concern?

Honestly, it'll probably be best to ask your oncologist at your Wednesday appointment; discharge like that can range from something as harmless as just irritation to the area or a side effect of medications to an infection and the best we'd have here is a guess as to what it might be.
While it may look milky in terms of color or consistency, if you've had a BMX it's unlikely that it's actually milk.

As far as I'm aware, there shouldn't normally be discharge after a BMX, even a nipple sparing one so it's definitely worth asking about at your next appointment.
