Annie, the Benjamin Center on Bundy and Pico has numerous support groups for breast cancer patients. It's a lovely place and you could definitely find "like" people there.

I live in LA>. Agree about the Benjamin Center (actually it's on Bundy a little bit north of Olympic. I go there for a weekly Zumba class, but they have numerous support groups and social groups. All free

UCLA has support groups in Santa Monica and Westwood as well organized through the Simms-Mann Center. I don't believe you have to be a patient there as I can recall meeting people gettin their treatment elsewhere.

If anyone is interested, The Bay Club (previously know as Spectrum Health Club), in El Segundo, offers a free 10 week cancer well fit class for those going through or just finishing up with their treatments. The trainer is certified to work with cancer patients and the other members in the class have been a huge amount of support for me going through my initial fight wit BC and now my met to lung and bone. If you want more info, let me know
