    Hello , has anyone been prescribed CMF regimen over the newer TAC due to cardiac issues? My oncologist said I am at high risk for cardiac dysfunction.

    I know it is the older regimen but can't find much more about it or if it is as good as TAC.

    Hi Nulyte,

    I had CMF 15 years ago. I was young (32) and I had a 3cm tumor with no nodes touched. The doctors felt that due to my age and the relative non-severity of my cancer it was better to go with a less aggressive chemo protocol. It has the advantage of less frequency on symptoms (hair loss, nausea...). As for efficiency, I did not have any recurrence until now (and this time is a different one) so it worked well for me, even with lumpectomy only.
