BC survivor, BRCA 2, micro calcifications

Options

I had BC 19 years ago, when I was 33. My sister had BC 2 years ago, at 48. She was gene tested based on my history, and we both have a BRCA 2 gene. I've therefore been in the high risk breast screening program for a year now, mammo + MRI. Micro calcifications showed up so I went for a spot compression mammogram Tuesday and am waiting on those results. I hated all the waiting 19 yrs ago and I hate it now. It's so easy to imagine the worst - and I am. The mammo lady told me to make an appointment in 7-10 days with my GP for the results. So of course I'm convinced she thinks it's cancer again. I'm wishing away the next week and not telling anyone but my partner so I thought I'd post here. I sure hope it's nothing

I hope you are okay too. Sorry that you're going through this. Try to keep yourself busy with people and things that you like doing. Hus

Well now I have to go for a stereotactic breast biopsy. The spot compression mammogram didn't say much except that and a few words my doctor could barely pronounce. So, I have no idea what those results said except that I have to go for that now. Still in the waiting game I guess. Wait to get an appt slot, then for the appt, then for results
