Post Treatment Fatigue

Options

I had a lumectomy/lymph node removal November 5, 2015, finished chemo treatments on May 19, 2016. Completed Radiation treatments July 25, 2016. I just went back to work and find that I am absolutely exhausted, very emotional, and have difficulty being motivated to do anything. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

I had a partial mastectomy/node removal December 17, 2015, finished chemo in March, 2016 and Radiation in May, 2016. I am also experiencing exhaustion and am extremely emotional. My Onc said it would take up to a year to get my stamina back. I believe the emotionality comes from the trauof the whole experience. Most people feel we should be fine now that treatment is behind us, but the emotional scars linger. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Grammy8280 and welcome to Breastcancer.org!

Thank you for posting your support for Bonnie. For the both of you, there's some really wonderful information on the main Breastcancer.org site about Managing Fatigue, which is a very common side effect of breast cancer and its treatment.

We hope this helps and we hope you keep coming back to post, offer support, ask questions, and share your experiences. We're all here for you!
