Radiation for bone pain-how long to see results?

Hello Ladies,

I had 5 shots of radiation for a tumor in my arm which was giving me back pain. After 2 treatments my pain went away, but a week later the arm and back pain returned. Has this happened to anyone else? The radiologist never really explained the recovery to me. I'm supposed to see him a month after the treatments and it's been almost 3 weeks now.

The women on this site are amazing and I appreciate any help you can offer.

Sorry that you are in pain. The bulk of posts in this forum deal with rads to the breast. You might want to ask your question on the bone mets thread (link below). I did have rads to a bone met, but not for pain relief,so I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but I know there are those one the bone mets thread who did utilize rads for pain relief.
