Is sleeping on your LE side safe?

I developed LE in my operated arm and hand after my MX one year ago. I've luckily learned how to keep it in fairly good control with compression sleeves, gloves/gauntlets, and Vodder wrapping 2-3 nights a week.

About two weeks ago the excruciating position I was put into for breast MRI (flat on my belly with arms fully extended over my head) set off a flare of my older cervical spine problem --- nerve root compression causing pain from neck down to my (luckily non-operated) hand. Before bc and LE, sleeping on the opposite side would help the pain ease up. But I've been afraid to do that (sleep on my LE side) because I'm afraid of making my LE worse again.

Does anybody sleep on their LE side?

Thanks in advance.
