Breast forms? Reconstruction but much smaller than I was
Ladies I am hoping maybe you might give me some advice. I had reconstruction but my breasts are shallow like hamburger bun shallow and I would like to move up a size when I wear my bras and fill them so they are not dented and appear naturally? I do not know anything about Mastectomy Bras or forms. Is there a possibility that something would work in my situation?
I posted here because I am hoping that the ladies in this forum would be more knowledgeable about what products might be available. I am hoping for something lightweight and breathable.
Also any recomendations for a good Mastectomy Bra I could buy to try. I have been researching converting bras on the internet but I have never seen one in real life to know what to do.
I am not sure if this is relevent but I have a very wide chest so my implants are quite flat even with the biggest size of teardrop my PS said he could put in. The bra is a large 38C but I would look much better proportioned if I were a 38D or DD

exercise guru - I have been in various configurations of size/recon status so have had to augment one side or another over the course of time. I would recommend a mastectomy bra with pockets and a lightweight form in each side, or even a Coobie - possibly with double modesty panels, the panels are the second link below. You may want to even try a chicken cutlet type of augmentation, the mastectomy puffs that come with a surgical camisole, or the modesty shield from a sports bra in the pocket. Here are a couple of examples - and a couple of bras that I found comfortable. Also, many insurers will cover bras even though you have reconstructed, which is a plus as they can be more expensive than regular bras.
If you sew here is a tutorial for converting a regular bra into a pocketed bra:

I wore this bra but found that the cups were too generous even to match my 34DD reconstructed side and the band was too tight - I should have ordered a 36C to fit me properly, but it was very comfortable. I would recommend being fitted in a mastectomy shop if there is one available, I ordered this bra online - so, rolled the dice.

This is my favorite bra - I wear it now after both sides have been reconstructed (again, lol!) because it is so comfortable. It does have a seam that goes horizontally across the cup though so it is not a good choice with a thin fabric shirt. Also, you may be able to find it less expensively from other online resources once you have the right size figured out.
