6 months check up after duct excision

last yr I had some blood from my left nipple when squeezed...had a mammogram and ultrasound all of which were clear....I then had to see my specialist 3months later as he said he didn't want to do an exision as I was under 40 so had to just sit and wait it out.

When I went back he suggested a duct exision ( I was 40 by this time) however I was pregnant so he said wait till the baby was born. I had a missed miscarriage unfortunately though and whilst going through that my nipple started to bleed again so I called him up and I went to see him , he suggested the surgery so 2 weeks later i had surgery.

The 2 week wait for the results were horrendous but they were good...no reason for the bleeding.

I have to go back 6 monthly for check ups then yearly just precautionary....next week is my 6monthly check up which can't come quick enough I can tell you....I'm so grateful that I got the all clear but not knowing the cause of the bleeding is playing on my mind.

Just to add a spanner in to the works I'm 5 days late for my period, I Darent do a test as I'm so scared they won't do a mammogram or any other tests next week if I'm pregnant....is this correct??

I'm not a doctor so I can't answer your question. But I would definitely tell them you are 5 days late with your period before your appt. and let a medical professional decide. Let us know
