Lung nodules amd still on herceptin?

Hi everyone,

A recent chest ct that was ordered due to a hump/protrusion under my collarbone has shown 6 lung nodules both lungs, upper and lower lobes, largest is 11mm. The chest protrusion is likely from my expander. I had a pet scan in march, these nodules were not there. I have been on herceptin this whole time and am due for my last one on the 15th. I live in Ohio and I know there is a common fungal infection that this could be but I can't help but worry constantly. I have a pet scan next week and biopsy on the 13th.

I keep breaking down, I've been praying for strength to be positive and for this not to be a set back when I was so close to the finish line.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a lung nodule and they are very common. Mine was watched for 2.5 years with no change. The funny thing is that when it was found the dr asked me if I had ever lived in the US in Ohio area due to a common fungal infection that causes lung nodules!!! I haven't but mine was a scar from having untreated bronchitis. I hope yours is from a benign issue. Thinking of you and hugs.

Hey linzachica! Welcome to my world. I am so worried and upset too! I had a scan right after Herceptin ended because my tumor markers went way up. My PET showed a spiculated growth and two other spots on my right lung. I have mediastinal nodes that lit up and two nodes in my neck that showed SUV of 4.9. Ughh! At first I just gave up but now I am hoping it's radiation damage and infection. We won't know until we know. I have an MRI and Biopsy this month. If it is a spread we can do this! Don't waste your time breaking down now. Tried that! Not helpful. Lol! Good luck to you my friend
