Had my ultrasound today and the anxiety is driving me nuts

hi all,

I've been lurking since my mammogram 3 weeks ago indicated a 16 mm mass and the radiologist asked for a 3D mammo (semi-dense breasts) and an US because the results were incomplete. I had the 3D mammo and US today and after it seemed like the US took forever, she went to show the radiologist "in case he needed more pics. She came back after about 7-10 minutes and said I was all done.

Every twinge in my breast is scaring me and I really thought I'd find out today if it was a cyst or something else benign. I got the call-back from the radiologist for the first mammo the very next day so I'm thinking if it's serious, I should get a call tomorrow. I also looked at my results on-line the first time so I was expecting it but I'm terrified to look at the new ones when they're posted. Who told them it was a good idea to give patients immediate access to their test results?!?!

Anyway, that's where I am right now...and very thankful to have found this board.

Just remember that most findings are benign! Stay away from Google while you wait, do something fun and stay busy!:) I hope you get good results.

Thank you so much for the encouragement keepthefaith. I was just checking my emails only to see one from the radiologist office saying my report is already available online. I'm gonna do my darnedest not to open it and wait for them to call me.
