MammaPrint - 70-gene test - MINDACT trial publication
Following an abstract and presentation at AACR in April 2016, a full-length paper with results from the MINDACT trial of the MammaPrint (70-gene) test has now been published here:

I just read the NEJM link but did not see what they use as a "cut off" number similar to oncotypedx.....but it looks promising the low-intermediates may do just fine without chemo.
And as an aside, I JUST saw my first Barred owl yesterday on a hike. I think it was an older "chick" that just sat on a branch and watched DH and I. GORGEOUS. Such a face! This was at 10am and just shocked to have stumbled on it!!

Hi wallycat:
The MammaPrint test has a "binary" output: either "high risk" or "low risk". The test measures mRNA expression levels from 70 genes. A computer program assembles an expression profile from the data, and calculates a MammaPrint Index ("MPI") value between -1.0 and +1.0. Negative values (below the "clinical classification threshold" of zero) fall into the "high risk" category, while positive values (above zero) fall into the "low risk" category.
Neat you saw one of my relatives.

Slightly off-topic, but I subscribe to GenomeWeb’s e-mail bulletins (several times a day), and invariably anything pertinent about breast cancer requires a “premium” subscription. Not forking over a C-note per year. Any way around this?
