Tamoxifen after 5 Years Femara (with ILC) Anyone?

Hello, I was diagnosed with stage 3A ILC in Nov 2006 and after chemo/radiation was started on Femera. The aches and pains in my joints and feet were terrible. But the worst part was the vaginal dryness and the almost weekly UTI's for a while. We tried the estring while monitoring my estradiol levels and I was able to use for about a year before I had a spike in my estradiol and my onc took me off the estring. I managed to suffer through another year or so until my 5 years were up. But being 3A with 2 + nodes, I didn't want to work without some kind of net, so we decided on another 5 years of Tamoxifen along with the estring knowing that any excess estrogen would be blocked by the Tamoxifen. So far so good. Coming up on 10 years in Nov and feeling pretty good and happy with NED.

Just wondering if anybody else has gone this route, especially with ILC. I hear rumors ILC Tamoxifen doesn't work as well with ILC. Is this true or just another urban legend?
