Festival during FEC-T?

Options

I'm due to go to a festival a few days before my 5th chemo. I am not camping because my immune system is shot to pieces, but staying with someone close by and cycling into the event every day. I just wondered if, apart from tonnes of handgel and wipes, what I can do to reduce the risk of infection? Worried about the portaloos and potential contamination they could pose. Also taking my own food into the festival.

I have looked fwd to it all year and bought tickets before I was diagnosed, there is no way I am not going! Any tips would be welcome!

Don't jump into any pools or hot tubs! I did the hot tub thing soon after my last chemo & spent the night in emerg. My temp shot up & I got severely dehydrated (my tongue was sticking to my mouth) but was fine after IV and some tylenol. Glad you have the energy to bicycle in & attend!

thanks ladies, it's a tiny festival and only a couple of miles from where I am staying so there won't be tonnes of walking/cycling about, especially that back and for the from the tent, as I won't have one, though may visit friends' tents. No hot tubs there either. Lots of people I know go so there are plenty of v concerned friends who will be looking out for me. This will be the first festival I will be going to where I will be sober the whole weekend, though may have a larger or two!! Eek! Can't wait! :)
