Do the hot flashes stop when you are done with Arimidex?

I took tamoxifen for 5 years followed by Arimidex. My 5 years on that will be completed at the end of October. I was originally told I could remain on Arimidex indefinitely but I guess that has changed. My oncologist said to stop at the end of October.

My question is how long after you stop does it take for the hot flashes to go away. I have suffered with about 20 a day for almost ten years now and I'm hoping they will go away. I did have my ovaries removed almost ten years ago as well. I'm just worried that they will continue.
