Just started chemo this month - Any advice?

Hi ladies,

Received 1/12 Taxol weekly on 8/8/16, along with Herceptin every 3 weeks for 1 year. Has anyone started recently and can share their experiences and advice?

At what point does the hair fallout? Any pain in feet (neuropathy?) after minimal walking? Sensitivity to the sun?

What are your side effects and what days are your good/bad days? What are you able to eat?

I did 4 rounds of dose dense AC followed by 4 rounds of dose dense Taxol. I finished on 6/22. I found the Taxol fairly easy to get through. I had some numbness in my toes after each treatment, but it went away each time. I worked during chemo and only had to take day 3 off after Taxol because my neulasta injections made all my muscles sore.

My hair fell out about day 16 or so into my AC treatments.

Keep in mind, everyone is different and some have more or different side effects. I wish you luck and smooth sailing through chemo!
