Starting tamoxifen simultaneously with chemo?

Just met this week with my MO. Because my cancer is so strongly hormone receptor positive and I am stage III, he wants me to start tamoxifen right away and concurrently with starting AC-T chemo. He admitted that this wasn't standard protocol but felt like it was the best choice for me.
Has anyone else done this?
