My BMX (with expander placement), SNB and BSO was 15 days ago. PS wants me avoid using chest muscles or raising arms until he begins filling my expanders.

I'm missing that rush I got from cardio and can't wait to head out for a run. I know I still have a while to go but I'm wondering.... If you had a similar surgery, when were you allowed to start exercising again, especially running?

Thanks

I had to wait until almost 7 weeks. Try long walks and if you have a gym membership, add the recumbent bike (without holding the saddle side handles - create no tension or pulling in your arms or shoulders) to help avert deconditioning. It's very difficult to get fit, active women, who before surgery, enjoy regular high cardio workouts to take a break, as you are now in a physical holding stage. Allow healing and recovery to occur - this is not a progression time for getting back to where you were. This exercise reduction will be lifted and suggest a slow, easing back over a period of at least a week or better yet, two. Listen to your Dr. and in the fullness of recovery, this time off of your normal exercise regime is a blink of the eye.
