Hi ladies

This week will be my last chemo. About a week ago I started experiencing severe leg pain more in the left leg but still in both from my toes to my hips. My legs feel like wet noodles and I can barley stand or walk without feeling like i need to sit back down.I called the doc today and they said it's from the chemo and she would evaluate on Thursday she is not my regular oncologist she just went on maternity leave, so I can see why she wants to wait . I am working so it make it real difficult, I do ok with my pain meds and keeping my feet elevated when I'm home but really want qto work. Please any advise would be greatly appreciated.💟

marge...so sorry you are going through this. Could it be neuropathy from the chemo? Just a thought. Good luck and keep us posted.

Marge, - you dont say what chemo regime you are on. Some do cause more pain than others :(

Good that this is the completion of your treatments!!

    Hello

While on Taxol I had severe leg pain, felt like noodles. It somewhat subsided, I'm 15 weeks pfc, but have mild neuropathy in my right foot which causes the noodle effect.

The pain is not only from the chemo drugs, but also from the Neupogen/Neulasta shot - that shot they give you to force your bone marrow to produce blood cells otherwise everything plummets.

I remember towards the end of my chemo treatment I had pain in my legs, hips, pelvis and tailbone, something that felt like a combination of birth pains and a broken tailbone. I was waddling like a penguin when walking and needed Percocet in the end to be able to even walk.

It will go away after you're done with chemo. If the pain is so strong that it affects your sleep or walking, talk to your dr. for a few days' worth of pain management.

Take Claritin (not D). Many of us took it if we were having Neulasta and it worked. Doesn't hurt to try to see if it works now. Also, magnesium seems to work well for muscle issues.

I do get pretty severe bone pain from the Neulasta, that last maybe a , week. I do take Claritin as well as my pain meds. This is a very different pain from my feet to my thighs, stronger in the left leg. Can't walk more then a few yards without sitting down, very weak legs, like noodle legs ,severe pain and very swollen feet.
