dear KKaykkat - I don't share your experience directly but my heart went out to your situation and I wanted to keep this thread active and make sure you know you are heard. I have read a number of stories on these boards of women who've successfully carried babies thought treatment with no ill effects on the kid and I hope one of these will see your post. There's no reason you can't be one of them - and you're not so very far off delivery. I was desperate for my treatment to start when I was diagnosed but honestly I now understand a few weeks won't decide things - we've been living with these cells for years before we find them. If they did your surgery first you could deliver your baby and then do chemo maybe??? Very good luck - pregnancy should be a magic time and I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I pray your baby will be the best of all possible comforts distractions and hopes for the future.

There have been some women on here who were pregnant when diagnosed. As far as I can remember, all the babies were born normal, even when the mom got surgery and chemo. Maybe you can do a site search to find out more. Despite the difficult circumstances, congratulations on your precious baby! You WILL get through this! (((BIG HUGS)))

KKaykkatt,
I was not in your situation but I read this book shortly after my diagnosis. It was great and made me feel more reassured (even though I wasn't pregnant I just felt better hearing survivor stories) I think she is now more than 9 years out.

Search BC.org because I'm sure I've seen posts from someone pregnant and recently diagnosed.
SO sorry you are here. Damn, I feel young with this sometimes, but you are really young. I'm sorry. But you've found a wonderful place for support, encouragement, information, inspiration, advice. Ask any and all questions and, I swear, this will get easier once you have more information. I'm new to this, too, and it's really true.
Take care and know I'm thinking about you and your little one. HUGS!!!!
