Radiation treatment question

I am in the US and have been suggested hypofractionated radiation therapy, i.e., the shorter protocol 19 sessions instead of 25 or 33. Here one of the eligibility criteria for this treatment (also called the Canadian protocol) is age 50 or older. I am 41 and wonder anyone if anyone here my age or younger has done this shorter hypofractionated radiation treatment? Is this the standard radiation treatment for breast cancer in Canadà?
