Last month, I started a thread where people monitoring or participating in this forum can just check in with some basic information so we have a current list of who is participating.

I hope that anyone who has not posted to the list can follow this link and introduce themselves on the How Many Are We - 2106 thread.

The number of people who have introduced themselves on that thread recently exceeded 100. It has been very moving to me scan that list and see who has joined our ranks.

We are alone with our illness in our daily lives. Even those closest too us are not in our position. Going through my day, I feel like part of me lives in an alternate universe apart from my family, friends and colleagues; however, it has been a happy surprise to find so many pleasant, intelligent and supportive people on this foreign planet.

I am looking forward to seeing your post.

It is always especially heartening to hear from people living well long after their diagnosis. This gives us all an important perspective in the changing landscape of MBC.
