Hi all. i need some hope. :(

I hope this doesn't sound shallow, but here we go.

I am 34. Was diagnosed with TNBC when I was 31. Had the gamet of treatments. Lost all of my hair during chemo. It's been a little over 2 years since it started to grow back, and it makes me so sad.

It's not awful, but it's not anywhere as thick as it used to be. I used to love my hair. Now, it's thinner everywhere. I can see my scalp where I used to not be able to. Every day, I am self conscious.

I keep holding onto hope that my body is just taking longer to recover, and that it will get better in time.

Has anyone had experimence with this? That it just took longer than normal to get "back to normal?" It would give me a lot of hope. Or, are there things I can do to help? I am thinking about trying Nioxin, but I feel like I am grasping at straws. :(

Thank you... Lauren

Lauren, - I know exactly how you feel, - I am in the same boat.

Do you take biotin? My dermatologist suggested biotin and also trying Rogaine/minoxodil . I do take biotin, but havent tried Rogaine.

Although I havent seen any, there are drs that specialize in hair regrowth. They offer various treatments and some women have had lots of success.

You are younger than I am, - so you are in a better position.

In the mean time, enjoy life, and keep hair in prospective.

    Hugs from NYC
