Happy news and a little vent

First the good news. The breast center nurse called and told be my biopsies came back benign. Thank God.

When I asked for a copy of my pathology report she said "but your results are benign". LOL Really? I need to HAVE it and READ it with my own eyes. Plus I have a detailed file I am keeping on my breast health. LOL

I finally heard from my GYN today. I received a lovely letter dated TODAY in my healthcare back office. She let me know that I had an abnormal mammogram on June 27th and should make an appointment with her ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 2016.

"The results of your visit indicate the need for a follow up appointment. The recommendation is for you to see XXXXXXXX, MD for a breast exam and to have a bilateral diagnostic mammogram on or around July 1, 2016."

I have already had a diagnostic spot compression and magnification mammogram on July 8th followed by 3 stereotactic vacuum assisted core biopsies on July 21, 2016 which came back today as benign. I think she is a little behind the times.

I am so beyond grateful to not have breast cancer but a little put off by my gyn being so far behind the ball. I think it is time for a new GYN.

I can't thank all of you ladies for the help and advice throughout this whole process. Thank you all so much. Just reading the posts daily helped keep my anxiety to a manageable level though all the testing and waiting. I knew I wasn't alone.
