Blister following BMX?

Four days ago, I had a skin sparing BMX. Yesterday I noticed an area the size of a quarter had turned bright red and had a white area the size of a pencil eraser in the middle of it. it's not hot and I'm not feverish. Then this morning, I noticed the white area is now a blister. My PSP called today to check up on me and he didn't seem too concerned, he just said to put some antibiotic cream on it. Anyone else ever had this?
