Drain failed...was still putting out 50cc of dark red

I'm tired and frustrated this morning. Another drain failed late last night. It was still putting out 50+ CCS per day and it's on the side that is still swollen and had the bleed the doc went back in to repair 4 days post BMX.
Called the on call doc (cancer doc, but not a breast specialist) and she had my husband remove the drain.
It's more swollen on that side this morning. Uuggggh.
