Hi Ladies

My name is Amber, I am 26 years old and live in New Zealand

When I was diagnosed I had a partial mastectomy. 2mm clear margins, clear nodes. Now that I have finished chemo I am faced with the decision to have radiation or I have been offered nipple sparing bilateral mastectomy/reconstruction.

I am confident I am going to have the surgery as a preventative measure to reduce the chance of getting breast cancer again. I am hoping to talk to some other women who have had a similar situation to me and decided to have the surgery also.

My surgeons work is stunning. I feel really confident that I will have beautiful breast once they have recovered. Also a big part of it is peace of mind. I appreciate there is still always a chance of getting it as not all breast tissue can be removed.

So if you have been in a similar position I would love to hear your thoughts

Thanks in advance

Amber
