worried...found lumpy area and small pea size knot..
Hi im new here trying to get answers, I am 46 yrs old and have been getting mamograms since age 25 , my garndmother and aunt are survivors. last year i felt lumpy in right breast did a ultrasound and nothing was found but also had swollen armpits was told could be dedorant. three weeks ago i felt a pea size knot , and the same lumpy from last year never went away just the swollen armpit went away, i went to get ultrasound last thursday and waiting for results, im so scared because my underarmpit hurts and collarbone too. i am really stressing. im not sure what a lump should really feel like but when i press on it it hurts. i am wondering since i have dense breast mabe they didnt find something wrong last year that they should have? i have had lots of stomache issues in past 2yrs also. so worried cant sleep.

We are sorry for what you are going through, and all the worry that you are experiencing. Perhaps it is worth contacting your doctors again to ask for another examination, if only to relieve the anxiety. Would your health insurance permit you to reach out for a second opinion?

Did you get results?

im sorry been so stressed just saw this blog, i asked for results on ultrasound last wensday they said they were un readable so they told me to go in to retake the ultrasound. i go in and ask why it was unreadable and tech says oh it was readable. i was confused at that point. but she says your doc ordered a mamogram so next morning i called to explain i was so confused about the tech saying it was readable. so i asked why so they tell me the results were inconclusive. what does that even mean?? so now i had be go in for a mamogram, which i hadnt done with the ultrasound. so now im here waiting again. the pain is more stronger in the area i feel a little knot. and also alot of pain in shoulder n mabe even collar bone. and when i lift my arm too. a little burning sensation off and on. i dont know what to think and everyone says oh dont worry its just stress. they dont understand that this is not normal for me. i they dont understand my fear. they think im overreacting but its not normal for me to have this kind of pain. i even feel my underarm thick. and the area where i feel a little knot feels almost like burning sensation. im so stressed canr sleep or function.

yes after getting a response that my ultrasound was inconclusive they have asked for a mamogram. i am waiting now for these results hopefully by 7/20/2016. and i still have the pain n knot so i will be going to another doc if they cant find anything. this is a new doc and facility so im not at ease so far with them telling me it was unreadable then that it was inconclusive, im beyond stress heading into depression over this.
