Zometa shots

Hi ,Thanks for reading my post and thanks for always being helpful.My mom had caner Stage IIIB . Its almost 3 years she done with treatment . She is taking Arimedix . She just had bone dentistry . Now , Her Oncologist recommend her to have Zometa shots every six months . Has any one experience of Zometa shots?Thanks again and God blessZohra

I am not familiar with Zometa shots. It is normally given by IV infusion every six months. I had one infusion of Zometa about six months ago and tolerated it well. I had some joint aches afterwards, but they went away after a few days. My oncologist prefers Prolia and I just had my first injection of that about two weeks ago and this time had no joint pain. Hope your mom is doing well.
