New and nervous
Hello everyone. I am a 41 year old waiting for my biopsy on July 7. I have a Bi Rads 4, 5mm solid nodule on my left breast. I can't feel it, I wentto get my first mammogram at my job because it was free and I'm over 40. I wanted to check something off my list of things to do. It didn't turn out how I had planed it. I had my mammogram Monday, ultrasound Tuesday. They sit it was probably not cancer, but couldn't rule it out. They recommended a biopsy, or I could have another mammogram in a few months I don't think mine is cancer, but I have had so many weird things happen to me in my life I want to be sure. I had a 10 week tubal pregnancy they never saw on a US. I had a overy mass they were taking out when they found a ruptured tubal pregnancy. That's just one example. I am sure it isn't cancer but I'm FREAKING out silently. Just need some positive results from. Others.... Thanks

Is it 4 A, B or C? If you have access to the radiology report, it will say.
A few weeks ago I had no idea what these meant. Never looked at my radiology report, even though I had to go in every 6 months for the past 2 years. Mine was 4 B this time. I was told 80% of biopsies were benign (which I immediately doubted), then I found a study in which 80% of 4B were indeed non-cancerous, which helped a little.
Then the results came back and they were indeed benign. Fingers crossed for you!

it just says BI RADS-category 4 - suspicious. They told me it was very unlikely to be cancer. The biopsy wasn't fun. I don't find out until Monday. Thanks for the boost

It's good news if they're saying that it's probably not Cancer. When I had my mammo and ultrsound, the radiologist said that it probably was Cancer, and he was right

I got my results back. It's not cancer..... I'm so relieved. Thank you to everyone for their words..

What was it? There are so many things that are going on inside and we have no clue...
I am glad you didn't have to wait until Monday!

Thank you, it was breast tissue. Whichdoesn't make sense to me. I didn't realize it could form to look like a mass. I'm just happy it wasn't cancer. It has made me look at my life. I'm glad they got back to me sooo fast. They told me it probably wasn't cancer. Plus I have other masses(one in my uterus) but it was still scary that it could be.

What do you know.
They found something (benign) with mine, but it took 4 days! Have a good weekend!

that's good. I'm glad it was benign. I read my report today it said it was a Fibroadenoma. I'm not sure much about it.
