I was diagnosed on May 23rd with idc, My first abnormal mammogram was on March 30th, I met with my surgeon for the first time on June 17th. I was told it would take 3 weeks to get test results of genetic testing, two weeks after test, insurance denied coverage. I was waiting to choose and schedule surgery until the results of the genetic test came back. So much waiting! I am losing it. Nothing has been done, cancer is just doing its thing in me.

Blueorange, I really feel for you. I'm in a similar situation: diagnosed in April, 2 lumpectomies in May-June (no clean margins), two other suspicious nodules found on post-surgical MRI;  sitting with cancer in my breast and waiting to schedule BMX. I do not have any words of wisdom, I just know how torturous every day of waiting is.

Yes, it is torture. I'm honestly starting to feel very depressed. I'm sorry you are going through this as well

Have you two recontacted your surgeons' offices and asked if surgery can be brought forward? There's no harm in asking and it's so stressful to be waiting.

Waiting is the worse part of it all. I had to go around 2 docs schedules and my bro who was going to help me a few days after sx, so I had sx 2 months later than anticipated. I was freaking out because it was said to be on MRI 4 cm and grade 3 to boot. But I was reassured that it took a long long time to get what I have and some pts who are given the go for sx in May opt to wait until summer is over so they can enjoy their vacation. So that calmed me down some and I just kept busy by getting ready since after bro left, I was on my own for the rest of the way. Best wishes and try not to worry.

I have the same diagnosis 'blue' and was also diagnosed slow ki67 ( maybe ki76 😳) however it was explained to me that this meant that my cancer cells replicated/grew slowly. I was also diagnosed in May and will not have my surgery for another 2 weeks. I am working with 2 surgeons (oophorectomy) and timing was tricky. Try to be patient, making the right decisions now can make a big difference. Only the Lord could build the world in 7 days 😂! We all know the frustration of knowing it is there and wanting it out! Bless you and good luck
