Running with tissue expanders

Hi Ladies, this has probably been covered, but I couldn't find a discussion about it. I had my bilateral mastectomy in February, and have tissue expanders. They are annoying, but bearable, for the most part. About six weeks ago I started running again -- I'm a slow but steady runner. At first, it was uncomfortable running with the TEs. But I am not one PS appointment away from my TEs being completely filled, and this morning was the first time I have run since my last PS appointment. It hurt to run! The discomfort has turned into an achy pain that was most unpleasant. It made me super depressed -- I have a 10K in a couple of weeks and I have a half marathon I'm signed up for in November. I am not sure when I will have surgery to replace the TEs with implants. I see my PS for my last fill on July 21st, and she said surgery would be in a couple of months. I am wondering if any of you run and if you had this problem? My sweet hubby said that my muscles need to adjust to the TEs and that it will get better. That seems reasonable. I've been doing yoga everyday, which is helping with my range of motion, but maybe I need to do more strength training, to strengthen my pecs? Any advice is appreciated!
