hi, this is great to know there is a communitu here that supports each other. I am 35 yrs old. Had an ultrasound where two lumps where found(one on each breast). Doctor couldnt feel them so decided to order a core needle biopsy guided with ultrasound. Pathology report for left lump came out as a fibroadenoma. However for the right side says, it was inconclusive and needed to be taken out for further studies. Soon after biopsy was performed i noticed a long lump right at the lower part of my armpit. This is the side whith the lump with no clear diagnosis. I had both lumps removed (not the one that appeared after biopsy) doctor says it could be a lymph node enlarged due to the biopsy. Is this normal? If it is, for how long will that lymph node feel hard? Its been this way for over a month.

Enlarged lymph nodes post surgery can be normal. Lymph nodes enlarge for a number of reasons, including infection, drainage of excess fluids, etc. They can take several weeks to a couple of months to resolve.

Did you get the pathology results for the lump on that side yet? I'd have the surgeon look at it when you go in for your results.
